Trading Risk Disclosure
This disclosure explains material risks of using Thesis Trade to research investments, review proposed positions and transmit orders you confirm. Read it with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and your brokerage’s agreements and risk disclosures. You make the investment decision and remain responsible for monitoring your brokerage account.
Investment losses
Stocks and options can lose value rapidly. You may lose the money committed to a position. Leverage, exercise, assignment, borrowing and obligations outside a simple purchased option can create additional exposure. Do not commit money you cannot afford to lose. A trade can be inappropriate for you even when it passes a software check.
Options and expiration
An option can expire worthless, including after the underlying security moves in the direction you expected. Timing, volatility and transaction costs affect its value. Exercise or assignment can create a stock position and funding obligations. Review your broker’s approval level, expiration procedures and deadlines. Read the current OCC Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options, available from your broker and at https://www.theocc.com/company-information/documents-and-archives/options-disclosure-document. This platform disclosure does not replace it.
Estimates and market information
Prices, quotes, portfolio information and model outputs may be delayed, stale, incomplete or wrong. A displayed payoff, probability, maximum loss, buying-power estimate or historical result depends on its stated assumptions. It does not guarantee an executable price, future result or your total account loss. Fees, spreads, liquidity, taxes, exercise and later changes to a position can alter the outcome. Check the instrument, expiration, strike, quantity, account and order terms before confirming.
AI and research limitations
AI responses may contain inaccurate facts, calculations or explanations and may omit relevant information. Similar requests can produce different results. A generated or ranked structure is not a guarantee of suitability, completeness or profit. Verify material information independently. Thesis Trade does not exercise investment discretion over your account; your explicit confirmation is required for an order instruction.
Execution and uncertain order status
Sending an instruction does not guarantee that your broker accepts or fills it. Orders may be rejected, delayed or partially filled; a limit order may never fill. A cancellation request may arrive too late. Connectivity or provider failures can leave the displayed status temporarily uncertain even when the broker received an instruction. Check the existing order at your broker before submitting another; an unknown status does not prove that no order exists.
Availability and account access
The app, your internet connection, data providers, connectivity provider or brokerage may be unavailable when markets move. You may need to manage an order or position directly through your brokerage. Losing Thesis Trade access or disconnecting the app does not close a position or cancel an order already at the broker. After product access ends, Thesis Trade sends no new brokerage instruction on your behalf, including an instruction to close, cancel, amend or retry. Keep your broker’s direct access and support details available.
Paper trading and examples
Simulated orders and illustrations do not establish that a live order would fill at the same price or at all. They may not reproduce liquidity, fees, market impact, execution delays or the experience of risking real money. Past or simulated performance does not guarantee future results.
Your review and support
